At Royal Design we know the importance of your puppy's first nine weeks of life.  

 A good healthy head start on life and the successful transition of our pups to their new care givers is of prime importance to us. Each puppy receives extensive socialization to help develop those happy, calm, intelligent, engaging personalities that the Mi-Ki dog is known for.

You would be amazed at the difference in behavior and trainability between pups that have been raised in a home constantly being handled and loved and those that are just one of many in a kennel or back room. My life is dedicated to the care, development and love of these puppies for nine weeks and it shows!

I am available to you for advice, training, follow up care, questions and transitional support for the entire life of the puppy.

We appreciate and look forward to receiving pictures and updates on all our Mi-Ki puppies throughout their lives. You are now a part of Royal Design's extended family. 

Be sure the breeder you select has given your puppy that important head start on life!  

So many people are cheated of the dogs they might have had. Take time, investigate thoroughly, and find out who does take immense care with their puppy rearing. Those first few weeks are the most important in the dogs life. If your breeder has not put the proper time and effort into each pup, then your time will be spent on basics and trying to undo problems when it might well have been spent making progress and having fun.

Bio-Sensor method used to start our puppies off

We incorporate the Bio-Sensor or Super Dog Program into our socialization and temperament development regimen. The cold stimulation is modified due to the size of Mi-Ki puppies at this age. The Bio Sensor method is a well documented puppy development tool. Both experience and research have documented the beneficial effects that can be achieved via early neurological stimulation, socialization and enrichment experiences. For complete details see:  

Philosophy on Socialization

Socialization is about exposing your puppy gradually and systematically to different types of people, places, things, surfaces, noises, touch (from you and strangers), other dogs and other species of animals. Socialization is all about setting the dog up for success introducing them to each new situation in such a manner that they will not be afraid.

My pups leave here confident, happy,  people oriented and eager to learn.

Puppy Vaccination Schedule

Vaccinosis is the term used for reactions our pets have to being vaccinated, it is far more common than we are lead to believe. Royal Design follows the vaccination schedule by Dr Jean Dodds one of the premier researchers on vaccinosis. See Mi-Ki Info page for detailed Vaccination chart.

DNA Verification

All Royal Design breeding adults and AMRA registered puppies are DNA verified and certified through VetGen Lab.

AMRA (American Mi-Ki Registry Association) Registration Papers 

All Royal Design Mi-Ki are registered with AMRA because of AMRA's vision to create an alliance of pure bred Mi-Ki breeders to address and resolve the very real concern of gene pool diversity within our rare breed, while maintaining the quality in health, temperament, and confirmation. There are many important reasons why you should be sure the breeder you buy from supports the Mi-Ki breed and registers their dogs with a Mi-Ki registry or club.  

Watch your Mi-Ki puppy develop

A photo album and short videos will be created at ImageEvent.com/royaldesign for each litter to allow you to view your puppy as he or she develops. This site also allows you to download photos or have them printed and mailed to you.

Health of your Mi-Ki puppy

All puppies will have a full physical exam by a licensed veterinarian before going home with their new families. Our contract also requires you to bring your Mi-Ki puppy to the vet within 72 hours of pick up for a full physical exam and fecal exam. This will help thoroughly establish that you have been sold a healthy pup. It will also get you established with your veterinary office and prepare you for follow up rotine care such as puppy vacinations. If your puppy is proven to not to be healthy, we will be happy to take the puppy back and offer you a full refund of the purchase price. We will make every effort to work towards a healthy happy outcome for you and your pup.

Included with your documents will be the new vaccination schedule adopted by all 27 North American Veterinary Schools. We strongly suggest following this updated schcdule for your puppy's health!

Our contract requires all puppies to be Spayed or Neutered by 6 months. Verification will need to be mailed to us by time the pup is 7 months old.

If a situation arises that prohibits you from keeping your dog, I will be happy to take the dog back or assist in finding a new home for him/her.

Provided with your Mi-Ki puppy 

When a puppy is purchased from Royal Design we will provide you with a folder containing the following documents:

•  Health Certificate and Medical Records of first puppy shots given by a licensed Vet.
• Two year Health Guarantee against any Genetic Defect causing death or Genetic Condition that has serious quality of life issues. 
• Sale Contract between breeder and new owner.
• 3 Generation Pedigree (Quality print)
• DNA Verified Registration Papers from the American Mi-Ki Registry Association (AMRA).
• An online photo album of your puppy's litter.
• Photo of entire litter along with dam & sire.
• Vaccination Schedule. New vaccination protocol adopted by all 27 North American Veterinary Schools.
• Bag of premium grade puppy Food
• Ongoing support

Also sent with the pup to ease the transition to a new home are a puppy blanket and toy with the scent of litter mates. All puppies are piddle pad trained.

Location

Royal Design Mi-Ki is located in Raleigh N.C. within a 20 minute drive of RaleighDurham (RDU) airport.

If you are flying in I will pick you up, bring you to our home and return you to the airport in time for your flight out.

Shipping

For the safety and well being of our dogs no Mi-Ki puppy or Mi-Ki dog will be shipped as freight. 

Transportation can be provided at customer expense via a Pet Transporter who will hand carry your puppy on a flight to your local airport.

We will do what it takes to get this tiny Mi-Ki puppy to you safely!
